The seminar marks the conclusion of the Polisocial-funded project “NBSouth: Nature-based Solutions for Climate Resilience in Cities of the Global South”. This initiative has explored the potential of NBS to enhance climate resilience, with a particular focus on dense and highly impermeable urban areas. The project paid special attention to critical challenges such as water management and thermal regulation, and
had as a major case study Paranoá, east to the city of Brasília. The seminar aims to share the project’s overarching key findings, offering
insights into its successes and the lessons learned; in addition, it will bring together a group of invited experts to engage in a discussion on the role of NBS in fostering sustainable and resilient urban development across both the Global North and South.
