PHD workshop 2023 “Beyond the Palimpsest: Recognizing and Imagining the Future of Albanian Territorial Heritage in Elbasan”

The seminar “Projects and research on Albanian territory” is part of the PHD workshop 2023 “Beyond the Palimpsest: Recognizing and Imagining the Future of Albanian Territorial Heritage in Elbasan”. The Workshop addresses the issue of recognizing and describing the material, cultural, and architectural heritage in a medium-sized Albanian city – Elbasan, and the subsequent interpretation and prefiguration of possible future scenarios of change between the extremes of preservation and abandonment.
The workshop is jointly promoted by the DAStU PhD courses in “Preservation of the Architectural Heritage” (Head: Prof. Mariacristina Giambruno) and the PhD in “Urban Planning, Design and Policy” (Head: Prof. Luca Gaeta).
