Ciclo di seminari ‘Architecture and Sustainability: Matter, Quality, Form’
The seminar, promoted by the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies and sponsored by Mapei, explores the contemporary relevance of the relationship between architecture and sustainability, identifying strategies and projects for overcoming the current and upcoming environmental crisis.
The event will focus on the sustainability of social housing, in particular with the presentation of the work carried out during the year by the Balearic Social Housing Institut, a public body attached to the Mobility and Housing Ministry of the Government of the Balearic Islands that started his work in 1986. The Balearic Social Housing Institute is a clever example of an institution that works to facilitate and improve access to housing for the region’s residents. The quality and sensitivity of Balearic Social Housing Institute’s projects are very relevant in the current contemporary scenario, their work is based on two objectives: to tackle both the current housing crisis and the ongoing climate emergency.
