The landscape is often considered a heritage that should be protected and preserved for its historical and cultural value. While climate change is altering human interactions with history and creating new challenges, efforts are being made to mitigate its effects and address emerging issues. However, changes and developments in the land are met with caution, not only by local communities but also by governing bodies. Considering this, landscape architecture can serve as the intermediary tool to address the need to change our mindset toward land use and resources by modeling the territory and the constructed environment while also safeguarding artifacts and infrastructures that hold significant historical and cultural value. The Austrian architects Aubock and Karasz have consistently focused on anthropological themes in their projects and research endeavors, delving into the study of communities and their intricate relationship with the surrounding environment. Their approach incorporates a landscape architect’s perspective, allowing them to address complex social and cultural issues within the profound transformation of current conditions.
