Dwelling needs between access to housing and quality of the supply
The seminar builds on the results of the round-table “Trovare casa e abitare, I bisogni abitativi fra accesso e qualità dell’offerta” (October 2019, PoliMi), involving researchers and policymakers in the field of housing. Starting point of the round table has been underlining how the discourse around housing policies in the last years has increasingly focused on the quality of the supply, while the traditional theme of access to housing was left aside.
Hence, drawing from the outlined interest and from the results of the discussion that followed, the forthcoming seminar will represent a second occasion to debate on the proposed theme and it will develop around the contribution of professor Thomas Maloutas,” Issues of access to housing for vulnerable groups in Athens. The impact of the crisis and its aftermath”. In this sense, the seminar will try to push further the analytical framework to include the urban dimension: not only reflecting on which housing, but also in which city.
