Exploring and transforming post-metropolitan territories in Europe

Nowadays, urban phenomena have exceeded consolidated administrative borders. This change has generated new, original environments that currently are fertile research areas for planners, sociologists, economists, and political scientists. The seminar will focus on the urban fringes as multiscalar entities, where socio-economic and spatial convergences emerge, forming assemblages with a different and dynamic nature.
In their presentations, invited scholars will reflect about several cases in Europe, starting from their own experiences that mix research and action, and where the analysis of current conditions supports a reflection about the potential evolution of those spaces.
