Operational indications for access and use of the Department spaces for the persistence of the Covid emergency.
For any clarification, please refer to what is reported and appropriately updated on the Politecnico website Covid-19: updates and measures a.a. 2020/2021.
ACCESS TO DASTU SPACES
- Access to the University is forbidden for people with COVID-19 symptoms (fever >37.5 °C, cough, breathing difficulties).
- Remember that the current regulatory provisions have established an absolute ban on leaving one’s home or residence, for persons subject to quarantine by the health authorities, or those who have tested positive for the virus, or who areawaiting the outcome of the swab test.
- Anyone accessing the University will have their temperature taken. Therefore access must take place at the planned gate, coinciding with the porters where the staff in charge will measuremente the temperature. Due to temperature measurement management, access to the University will be allowed only during the following hours: from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
-Building 12, via Bonardi 3 – measurement of the temperature at building access;
-Building 29, piazza Leonardo da Vinci 26 – measurement of the temperature at building access;
-Building 14, via Bonardi 9 – measurement of the temperature at building accesses.
- All persons accessing areas within the University must wear a mask;
- Users must properly sanitize their hands with the disinfectant solutions provided before entering and after leaving any closed spaces.
- External guests (undergraduates, students, guests in meetings, …) can access only under the direct responsibility of the host who will take care of having the self-certification filled in. The form is available at this link and at the secretary and after filling it in it shall be collected by the host and given back to the secretary.
- Self-certification is no longer necessary for staff members but it will always be necessary to use your personal badge at each entrance to the facility (in order to register your presence).

USE OF THE SPACES (Distancing Rule)
- Within the spaces and rooms, users may only use the workstations that have been set up and indicated for use. In case of mobility of the workstations, the same must be kept in the positions provided and in any case at least one meter away from each other. Users must follow the measures indicated by the signs.
- The use of face masks is compulsory at all times when users are inside University spaces; it can only be avoided in offices in the presence of only one person, or if the spacing and ventilation conditions of the premises allow it (open windows).
- If there is any crowding or queuing at the exits of the Dipartment’s spaces and facilities, users must wait to ensure that the one-metre social distancing rule is respected.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water. Contact with soap should last at least 20 seconds before rinsing with water, preferably warm water; alternatively use an alcohol-based disinfectant solution. Use disposable paper towels. To this purpose, automatic hand-sanitizing gel dispensers are available in each building and in the common areas.
- In general, in social and work situations, staff must maintain an interpersonal distance of at least 1 metre. This distance must be maintained both in the working environment (office, laboratory, meeting rooms, etc.) and in the common areas (break areas, bars, canteen, garden, etc.).
- In the offices and laboratories used by several people in different shifts, when the work is finished, each worker must personally sanitize the shared equipment and surfaces (e.g., counter, shelf, desk, mouse, telephone, keyboard, etc.).
- The use of lifts and service elevators is allowed as prescribed by the posted signs, and the use of masks is mandatory.
- Wherever possible, windows should be opened to allow the air in the rooms to circulate.
- Administrative offices are accessible by appointment to avoid congestion indoors.
- The sanitization of the rooms will take place with disinfectant products according to the frequency provided by the University except for special needs, which will be evaluated case by case.

-Building 12, “Aquarium”, First Floor: max 6 people
