Which challenges for urban policies and planning?
This seminar is organized within a PhD research in Urban Planning Policy and Design (DAStU) on arrival in migration processes. The seminar draws on the debate in urban studies around arrival spaces, and it revolves around the question of how arrival and arrival spaces challenge urban policies and planning.
After the topic presentation by the PhD Cand, Martina Bovo, the seminar will develop around the contributions of three discussants, who will address the proposed question drawing from their research experiences: Marco Cremaschi (Sciences Po- Full Professor of Urban Planning & Director of the Cycle d’Urbanisme), Yvonne Franz (University of Vienna, Dept of Geography and Regional Research – University Assistant in Urban Geography) and Bruno Meeus (Utrecht University, Dept of Law Economics and Governance – Project Manager of the Area Migration and Societal Change / KU Leuven, Interculturalism Migration and Minorities Research Centre – Postdoc Researcher).
