A presentation by Alessio Terzi of his book “Growth for good: Reshaping capitalism to save humanity from climate catastrophe” (Harvard University Press)
Can capitalism save the planet? Can we have both economic growth and a liveable planet?
The book addresses the most pressing issue facing humankind, which is what needs to be done to save the planet – or, more precisely, human life on the planet. The author argues that it is possible (though far from easy) to harness capitalism’s animal spirits, through concerted action, in order to bring about sustainable and inclusive growth.
