Land resources are the basis of landscape planning and transformation. Whether they comprise valuable materials, soil richness, abundant raw goods, or social and demographic wealth, land management approaches have historically aimed to exploit these resources, sometimes leading to their depletion. Recent years have seen the inauguration of a way of thinking that tends to move away from the extractive and overpowering logic, proposing hybrid, adjuvant, and cooperative development models, paying attention to coexistence strategies between species. In this reflection, the research and project carried out by Marina Otero Verzier are pioneering and innovative because they intersect important ecological themes with their social implications through the widespread use of new technologies. This is demonstrated, for example, in the work that investigates the relationship between architecture, digital infrastructures, and the essential resources that support these networks, such as lithium. This critical reflection not only seeks to resolve conflicts in the demand for greater accessibility and democracy in landscape and territory relationships, but also aims to use conflict, protest, and activism to create new scenarios and drive paradigm shifts.
