Based on his research and professional experience, Khaled Alawadi will discuss Dubai’s recent urban and regional development in light of the upcoming 2020 Expo. As with other cities in the region, Dubai has undergone a period of unprecedented growth over the past several decades. The presentation will review these patterns of growth and how the plans for the 2020 Expo contribute to these processes.
