Plácido González Martínez will talk about how the Gentrification process is changing cities in a global scale, also in China, and how Resilience and new Urban Governance within citizen can offer an alternative to that Risk.
Ph.D. Architect and Urban Planner, Associate Professor at the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University (China), and Executive Editor of the journal Built Heritage. An expert in built heritage conservation, he is member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Critical Heritage Studies (ACHS) and of the Scientific Committee of the Iberian Docomomo Foundation. He is a founding member of the GAMUC Research Team, studying Spanish colonial architecture and urbanism in Africa, and is currently developing research on urban development and heritage conservation in China in the framework of the Gaofeng Plan funded by the Government of Shanghai. He has authored more than 80 publications.
