Final Presentation & Exhibition

The Honours Programme (HP) in Urban Regeneration and Large-Scale Urban Development is an intensive training program focused on urban regeneration and the implementation of large urban development projects in Italy and across Europe. The program, started in 2022, takes place yearly and is coordinated by the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies in partnership with Hines Italy Re. S.r.l., MilanoSesto s.p.a. and Prelios s.p.a. that fund and support the activities.

For the 2023 edition, 22 students were selected from the Master’s Degree programs in the School of Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. The focus is on the MilanoSesto project, currently redeveloping the former Falck industrial site. The 2023 program consisted of two modules, “European Atlas” and “City of Rooms”, and of a study trip to Paris. The work comprises photos by Giovanni Hänninen.

The final results of the 2023 workshops will be illustrated with a presentation on July 4th and the cumulative results of the two years program will constitute an exhibition launched on the same day in the Atrium Space of Building 11.
