The Socio-Spatial Effects of Inclusionary and Exclusionary Mechanisms of Housing Provision
Lecture Series “Housing Affordability and the City” #4
Scholars have highlighted how the affordability crisis is affecting especially (even if not only) attractive and growing global cities and have proposed new frameworks for its analysis at the local level, together with various policies that can improve and influence it.
Exploring housing affordability trends at the city level requires dealing with challenges and opportunities for both research and policy innovation.
The lecture series aims at exploring such themes through the contribution of international scholars and at fostering a discussion among the participants.
In the #4 lecture of the series Housing Affordability and the City, we will talk about Vienna.
Michael Friesenecker (Department of Sociology, University of Vienna) will explore and discuss the socio-spatial effects of inclusionary and exclusionary mechanisms of housing provision in the Viennese context.
