La lezione di Silvia Micheli (University of Queensland) inaugura il ciclo di incontri curato da Gaia Caramellino, Pierre-Alain Croset, Christian Gaenshirt e Paolo Scrivano nell’ambito dei due seminari tematici di ricerca dedicati al tema “The Global Architect”.
Silvia Micheli (BArch Politecnico di Milano; PhD, IUAV, Venice) is Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, where she teaches architectural history, theory, and design. Silvia has widely published on 20th and 21st century Italian architecture and its cultural exchanges in the international context. She contributed to the volume Italian Imprints (Bloomsbury, 2022); co-edited the book “Italy/Australia: Post- modern Architecture in Translation” (URO, 2018), and co-authored “Storia dell’architettura italiana 1985- 2015” (Einaudi 2013). She is now preparing a book on the work of Paolo Portoghesi to be published by Bloomsbury. She is currently coordinating a design research project on the agency of the microscale in the (post)pandemic city, with a focus on domestic production, in collaboration with RMIT, Melbourne, and Hongik University, Seoul.
