Demetra Katsota’s lecture will present recent projects by Buerger Katsota Architects that explore the theme of urban space redevelopment, focusing on the “PXAthens” research project which aims to establish a network of neighborhood spaces dedicated to recreational activities.
Demetra Katsota is partner at Buerger Katsota Architects which she founded in 2005 with Stephan Buerger, and Professor of Architecture at the University of Patras, Greece where she teaches and coordinates studios, courses and design research. With a cross-scalar approach to design and research her interests lie at the intersection of the study of architecture, urbanism and landscape.
