Ahmed Hazem Eldesoky is an engineer and architect by undergraduate education. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Spatial Morphology Group (SMoG) at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. His research particularly centers on the use and application of urban analytics (including GIS, data mining, and machine learning) and urban sensing (with a veer towards low-cost solutions) to understand the impact of the built environment or urban form on the natural environment (including climate, air, fauna, humans and their health, and resilience). Before joining SMoG, Ahmed was a postdoctoral researcher at the Urban Simulation Lab (Labsimurb) at Politecnico di Milano, Italy.
