Policy for events data processing
PRIVACY POLICY IN ACCORDANCE WITH ART. 13 OF REGULATION (EU) NO. 2016/679 OF 27 APRIL 2016
Through this form, you can announce events and projects related to the Architecture and Urban Studies Department that will be published in the newsletter and on the DAStU website.
This policy is issued under art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and in respect of the regulations on personal data processing, as well as on the free movement of such data.

Processing purposes and legal basis, categories of data and storage period
Your personal data, with particular regard to your first name and surname, phone number and email address provided upon submitting the event/project notice form at https://www.dastu.polimi.it/contact-form/, will be processed by specifically authorised staff by computer and other processing tools for the completion of the survey in question and all related operations and activities, including administrative management. The form aims to collect information on all events promoted within teaching, research and Third Mission activities of the Architecture and Urban Studies Department.
If you give your consent, the data collected and stored to carry out the relevant survey will be retained for five years.
Legal basis and nature of data
The processing legal basis is to be found, under art. 6, paragraph 1, letter a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, in your free and optional consent.
Participation in the survey is optional, however, the provision of data is essential to send the notice of your event.
Data subject rights
As the data subject, you may request from the Controller:
- confirmation of the existence or your personal data;
- access to your personal data and related information; correction of inaccurate data or supplementation of incomplete data; deletion of your personal data (under one of the conditions indicated in Art. 17, paragraph 1 of the Regulation and in respect of the exceptions envisaged by paragraph 3 of that Article); the restriction of processing of your personal data (in the presence of one of the circumstances indicated in Art. 18, paragraph 1 of the Regulation), the transformation into anonymous form or block on data processed in violation of the law, including data whose storage is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed.
As the data subject, you also have the right to object in full or in part:
- on legitimate grounds, to the processing of your personal data, even if it is relevant for the purpose for which the data was collected;
- to the processing of your personal data, for the purposes of sending promotional material for Politecnico di Milano training initiatives and cultural events.
These rights may be exercised by contacting privacy@polimi.it.
If you believe that your rights have been violated by the Data Controller or a third party, you can lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, or another relevant supervisory authority under the Regulation.
