A workshop on policy briefs
“The Design of Tactics – A workshop on policy briefs” invites architects to reflect on possible policies that could be implemented in the processes of reactivation of neglected public spaces, in an engaging and sustainable way.
We believe that more effective policy briefs can help institutions, designers and local actors in supporting long term reactivation processes and that a multidisciplinary perspective is needed to develop strong actions.A group of practitioners is invited to give suggestions starting from their expertise in the field and from the projects they have realised across Europe in the last 20 years.
“The Design of Tactics – A workshop on policy briefs” ensues from the EU funded research project en/counter/points: (Re)Negotiating Belonging through Culture and Contact in Public Space and Place, which investigates the relationships between official and unofficial sites, practices, processes, and discourses of public space, culture and integration to uncover multiple (re)negotiations of belonging in a diverse Europe.
