Climate change, biodiversity and human-nature relationships in the Adriatic City
The international seminar “The Disappearing Line” aims to understand what patterns, dynamics, and interactions influence the state of biodiversity in Adriatic cities, looking particularly at the pressures of tourism economy and climate change on coastal habitats. It includes two sessions: the first is oriented towards understanding the impacts of climate change and the dynamics of biodiversity in the Adriatic coastal settlements, and the second focuses on the challenge of imagining the future of Adriatic cities through the exploration of visions, scenarios, and projects.
The seminar is promoted by the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies (DAStU) and the Campus of Piacenza of Politecnico di Milano, and the University of Rijeka, and it framed within the research activities of the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC).
