Open Forum
Through presentations and discussions, we will analyse the emergence of new typologies and typological hybridisations and their capacity to activate forms of spatial agency.
The aim is to illustrate the physical and spatial characteristics that allow habits and lifestyles to be modified, community belonging to be strengthened, and inclusion to be promoted; and to examine the theme of transcending traditional forms of inhabiting and the transformation of housing into places where people can live, work, collaborate, and build community.
This CRAFT Open Forum investigates how architectural design and spatial practices can support antifragility, foster forms of care, and question specific forms of exclusion embedded in the built environment.
The research aligns with several SDGs – 5 Gender Equality, 10 Reduced Inequalities, and 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities – positioning architecture as an active agent of social transformation.

(New) Types and Typological Hybridisations Seminar Series
The aim is to examine the emergence of new types and typological hybridisations, presenting projects and theoretical positions capable of reconfiguring open spaces and buildings that activate forms of spatial agency and care. In particular, to elucidate the physical and spatial characters that enable the transformation of habits and lifestyles, the consolidation of a sense of community, and the promotion of social inclusion.
