As part of his time as Visiting Scholar at DAStU this fall, Lawrence Blough will be giving a lecture on his research trajectories over the last seventeen years from digital fabrication experiments to novel housing imaginaries.
Lawrence Blough is Professor with Tenure at the Pratt Institute School of Architecture and Principal of GRAFTWORKS Design Research. Head of the Core Design sequence in the Bachelor of Architecture program, he is also Co-Director of the Housing Futures Lab at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Research Accelerator. Recipient of multiple awards for design research, Blough has been funded by PennPraxis at the Weitzman School of Design, The Institute of Design and Construction Foundation, The Structurist Fellowship at the University of Saskatchewan, The New York State Council on the Arts Independent Projects Award, and the Pratt Innovation Fund.
