M-US-T Master Temporary Uses

The M-US-T Open Day 2025 will present the structure, objectives and activities of the postgraduate advanced training course on temporary uses developed by DAStU, directed by Antonella Bruzzese and Isabella Inti, managed by Poliedra, and included in the educational offer of Craft – Competence Centre for Antifragile Territories.

M-US-T deals with the planning, design, implementation and management of temporary uses, considering them as tools that can support processes, projects and strategies for urban and territorial transformation at different scales.

Applications for the second edition, starting in June 2026, are open until 18 January 2026.

During the Open Day, the programme of the second edition will be presented, together with the updated structure of the modules and the related activities (workshop, internship and thesis work). Information will be provided on application procedures, scholarships and available financial support. The directors, several experts and partners of the master’s course, as well as students from the previous edition, will take part.
Presentations will be in English; a Q&A session will be held in both Italian and English.

Information from the first edition

In the first edition, students attended the modules and completed the related exercises, followed lectures by international speakers, and visited case studies in Milan and other Italian cities. They also met with professionals, institutions and local organisations involved in different forms of temporary uses. As part of the workshop, they developed a temporary transformation project in Argentiera, Sardinia.
Internships were carried out in large agencies as well as small and medium-sized practices.

Thesis presentations – 11 December 2025, 9:00 - 13:00

Students will present and discuss their theses on 11 December 2025, from 9:00 to 13:00, at CRAFT – Competence Centre for Antifragile Territories, Building 11B, Via Ampère 20. Attendance is possible upon registration. For information, please contact formazione-poliedra@polimi.it.
