Mountain Regions in Transition

Planning, design and conservation towards antifragility

craft competence center anti-fragile territories

The Forum “Mountain Regions in Transition: planning, design and conservation towards antifragility” consists of three seminars aimed at fostering connections between academia and local institutions around the theme of integrated, trans-scalar, and multidisciplinary spatial actions encompassing landscape-territorial, architectural, and heritage conservation perspectives. The series explores how these approaches can support the transition of remote and cross-border Alpine territories in response to ongoing global economic transformations (such as digitalization and the Green Deal) and the challenges posed by climate change and natural hazards.
The seminars not only provide an overview of ongoing research and projects at national and European levels but also serve as an opportunity for reconnaissance and critical reflection on the development of the current research within the Department, which is increasingly focusing on mountain areas, including through participation in competitive funding programs.
